After a short illness and spending her final weeks at the home of her daughter Hilary, Mrs. Hannah Kennedy died on 5th August, aged 91. She had been a widow for the past 22 years following the death of her husband David to whom she was married for 37 years. Her daughters Rosemary, Jennifer and Hilary were all able to be with their mother and care for her in her final days.
Hannah was a faithful attender at morning and evening worship and loved to be able to get along to ladies meetings, missionary meetings, midweek prayer meetings and to help out at our Parent & Toddler Group and Holiday Bible Club doing behind the scenes jobs. She was devoted to her Lord and Saviour and sought to serve Him in whatever way she could.
At the funeral services held at the McMullan Funeral Home and at the graveside at Kilraughts on 8th August I spoke of her thankful spirit and about her servant heart. God granted a beautiful warm, sunny day for Hannah’s funeral and it was pleasing that a good number of people were able to be present to convey their sympathy to the grieving family members.
